Briscoe Western Art Museum
The museum is located on the bank of the San Antonio River Walk. The museum’s main structure was the city’s first public library in the 1930s. The museum was named in honor of Texas governor Dolph Briscoe Sr. and his spouse Janey Slaughter Briscoe.

Look inside The Menger Hotel, considered the “Most Haunted Hotel in Texas,” and only a few steps away, there is the Emily Morgan Hotel, one of the city’s first hospitals, where hundreds of women and men lost their lives.
